Since 1990, The North Jackson Chiefs play in massive R.D. Hicks Stadium. With a seating capacity of over 6,500, R.D. Hicks Stadium has hosted numerous playoff games, capacity crowds, and intense rivalry games.
In the south endzone, sits the Chiefs Football Field House. Renovated in 2019, the 20,000 square feet of space holds home and visitor locker rooms, a 3,500 square foot weight room, coaches offices, team and position meeting rooms, training room, and Chief Den indoor and outdoor spaces.
Established in 1988, North Jackson High School was a consolidation of Stevenson and Bridgeport High Schools, and now serves the areas of Hollywood, Stevenson, and Bridgeport, Alabama. Since then, the North Jackson football program holds the 6th highest winning percentage in AHSAA history. 18 region championships, a 1993 4A State Championship, and numerous Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA college signees.
Former coaches and players are still regarded as Alabama high school legends and the tradition of the football program continues to be a source of pride for our community.
